Peggy LeAnn GarrettPeggy LeAnn Garrett, 33, of Vermont died at 1:15 a.m. May 6, 2008, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

She was born June 25, 1974, in Rushville, the daughter of Larry Dean and Peggy Ann Parry Rumler. She married Matthew Lee Garrett on Dec. 7, 2002, in Vermont. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Liam Knox Garrett and Maxwell Dean Garrett, both at home; her mother of Vermont; two brothers, Greg Rumler of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Michael (and Marla) Rumler of Ipava; and one grandmother, Doris Parry of Astoria.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Rumler; and grandparents, Willis Parry and Howard and Elva Rumler.

She was a 1992 graduate of VIT High School.

She held various jobs through the years, but her most important job was caring for the special needs of her two boys with autism.

She supported Autism Awareness and Esophageal Cancer Awareness.

Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Stan Shaw officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
