Mary M. Reneau, 85, of Abingdon, died at 2:25 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 1996, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born Oct. 16, 1910, in Fulton County, a daughter of Bruce and Anna McCamant Pickering. She married Wayne Reneau. He died in 1960. She also was preceded in death by one grandson, one sister and one brother.
Surviving are one son, Norman of Oquawka; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three sisters, Alice Larson of rural Abingdon, Elsie Menees of Silvis and Anna Lee Derry of Astoria.
She grew up in Fulton County and moved to Abingdon in 1938, where she worked for the former Abingdon Blue Bell for 20 years. She later was a secretary for Dr. A. Mazar in Abingdon and Bushnell.
Funeral services were held Friday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel with Eleanor Landon officiating. Burial was in Harris Cemetery in Table Grove.
