ALICE BELLE (PICKERING) WEESE REESE LARSON

Alice Belle Pickering Larson, 88, of Abingdon died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at her home.

She was born March 2, 1917, in Farmers Township near Table Grove, a daughter of Bruce and Anna McCamant Pickering. She married Wade T. Weese. She later married W.P. Reese. He died in 1979. She then married Phil Larson on Oct. 15, 1988. He survives.

Also surviving are one son Dickson (and Dee) Weese of Grand Junction, Colo.; one stepson, Rick (and Ann) Larson of Galesburg; one stepdaughter, Ronda (and Danny) DeJaynes of Abingdon; one sister, Anna Derry of Astoria; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Ruth Ann Fluke, her longtime caregiver.

Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Joan Turner; three sisters, Ruth Ebbert, Mary Reneau and Elsie Menees; and one brother, Carl Pickering.

Services were held Monday at Berwick Baptist Church with Rev. Melody Andrews officiating. Burial was in Meridian Cemetery. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
