Mrs. Freida Renner Of Astoria Dies

Mrs. Freida C. Renner, 78, of Astoria, died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 1988, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

She was born May 4, 1910, at Bluff City, a daughter of Rex and Zelma (Ray) Curless. She married Ralph E. Renner on Sept. 3, 1933, at Memphis, Mo. He survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Rex Renner of Rochelle, David Renner of Farmington, and Donald Renner of Sycamore; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Eva Kost of Astoria; and several in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Renner was a member of the Astoria Christian Church and a Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. She served as an X-ray technician for 17 years at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, retiring in 1974.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday morning at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Jim Comstock officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
