David Renner, 80, of Farmington died March 19, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.
He was born Feb. 5, 1943, in Canton, a son of Ralph and Frieda Curless Renner. He married Becky Renner on June 4, 1967, in Astoria. She preceded him in death on June 16, 2020.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Renner of Farmington and Marci (and Bobby) Allen of Canton; two brothers, Rex (and Pat) Renner of Rochelle and Don (and Mary) Renner of Sycamore; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He served in the United States Air Force. He later worked as a surveyor for the local coal mines. He was a member of Farmington United Methodist Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A graveside service will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington at 11 a.m. Saturday. There will be no visitation.
