Nelda J. Parker, 81, of Astoria died at 8:15 a.m. Dec. 4, 2015, at her son’s home in Astoria.
She was born April 1, 1934, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Carl and Ferne Beaty Schisler. She married Carroll Parker on July 10, 1954, in Summum. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2003.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Geffrey Parker.
Surviving are three sons, Greg (and Debby) Parker of Hurst, Gerry (and Teresa) Parker of Bath and Gale (and Georgia) Parker of Astoria; three sisters, Melba Collins of Macomb, Bessie (and George) Pempek of Springfield and Carolyn (and Carroll) Holloway of Chillicothe; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker. She also worked at Kost Drug Store in Astoria before she was married.
She was a member of Browning Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star in Ipava and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
