Grace A. Plate, 92, of Astoria died at 10:10 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2003, at Astoria Gardens & Rehab Center.
She was born July 5, 1910, in Ipava, a daughter of Edward and Nellie Gaskill Adkison. She married Fred Plate in October 1932 in Rushville. He died May 5, 1959.
She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Elma Hampton, Pearl Green and Lillabel Graham; and one grandson, Shawn Coleman.
Surviving are four daughters, Ilene (and Leroy) Davison of Canton, Edith Coleman of Lewistown, Joyce (and Jerry) Sarff of Kewanee and Sheryl (and Eddie) Trone of Astoria; two sons, Lee (and Dorothy) of Astoria and Keith (and Linda) of Havana; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Church of Christ in Astoria, where services were held Tuesday with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.
