He was born Sept. 12, 1939, a son of Glenn and Mildred Baldry Moose.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Palmer Moose; two children, Tammy (and Douglas) Horsley and Gary Moose Jr.; two brothers, John Moose and James Moose; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Don Moose, Ted Moose, David Moose and Carl Moose.
He worked at International Harvester in Canton from 1964-82. In 1985, he traveled to Greenland to work on the US Radar Station on the ice caps. He worked as a carpenter for six years, until he transferred to Navistar in 1988 in Springfield, Ohio, until March, 2008.
In his free time, he worked on mowers and miscellaneous items.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Vernon Funeral Home in Urbana, Ohio, with Pastor Mimi Ault officiating. Burial will follow in Jenkins Chapel Cemetery in Cable.
