James “Jim” Moose

James “Jim” B. Moose, 82, of Cleveland, Ill., died Aug. 17, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Oct. 17, 1937, in Astoria, a son of Glenn D. and Mildred B. Baldry Moose. He married Janet E. Norman in March of 1967 in Rock Island. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Ketra Loftin of Silvis, Sandra Bopp of Vermont, Ill., and David Bopp of Rome, Ga.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers; one son, Terry Moose; and one grandson, Thomas Carpentier.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. in Moline. Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Military Honors will be conducted. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery.
