David Moose, 30, Of Astoria Dies

David Lee Moose, 30, of Astoria, died at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 1976, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, following an extended illness.

He was born April 24, 1946, at Astoria, the son of Glen D. and Mildred Baldry Moose. He married Barbara Bowler Feb. 13, 1971, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Astoria, the Astoria Gun Club, the Astoria American Legion Post 25 and the Rushville Saddle Club. He was employed as a welder for the Peabody Coal Company.

He is survived by his widow; his mother of Astoria; his grandmother, Mrs. Inez Baldry of Astoria; and five brothers, Don, John, Gary and Ted of Astoria and James of Colona. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Paul Stauff officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
