MARGARET E. (BURGARD) MAYALL

Margaret Mayall

Margaret Mayall, 79, of Union, Mo., formerly of Ipava, died at 9 p.m. June 16, 2007, in Washington, Mo.

She was born Sept. 26, 1927, in Ipava, a daughter of Ezra Wayne and Lola Littleton Burgard. She married Willis D. Mayall on May 27, 1947, in Mason City. He survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Brianna (and Gaylon) Malott of Marquette Heights, Jeanette “Susie” (and Bob) Bucher of Ipava and Candace “Jill” (and John) Kukla of Union; one son, Kevin Dean (and Bernadette) Mayall of Washington, Mo.; one brother, Dale (and Maralee) Burgard of Lewistown; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Melissa Malott and Natasha Kukla; and one sister, Dorla Lundeen.

She and her husband owned and operated The Milk Shed Restaurant in Ipava.

She was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church, 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #227 in Ipava, Ipava American Legion Auxiliary, 39-year member of the VFW Auxiliary, 44-year member of the Muhammad Shriners and a member of the Scottish Rite.

Services were held June 23 at her church with Pastor Kevin Kessler officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Ipava American Legion Auxiliary.
