VeteranDorla Lundeen

Dorla J. Lundeen, 72, of Ipava, died at 12:01 a.m. Monday, March 17, 1997, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Ipava, a daughter of Ezra and Lola W. Littleton Burgard. She married Donald G. Lundeen on June 6, 1948, in Mason City.

Also surviving are two sons, Greg Lundeen of Vermont and Master Sgt. Jeffrey Lundeen of Lakenheath, England; three daughters, Beverly Herrick of Cambridge, Gretchen Fawcett of Ipava and Jamie Conover of Cuba; her father of Ipava; one brother, Dale Burgard of Lewistown; one sister, Margaret Mayall of Union, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was the service manager of Burgard Chevrolet, retiring in 1993. She was a World War II Navy veteran. She was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church, Ipava American Legion Auxiliary and was a former member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 226.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at her church with Rev. William Abernethy officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery.
