Chas. Mercer Dies At Home Near Vermont

Charles Mercer, 84, of near Vermont, a retired farmer, died about 7 p.m. Monday evening at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Vermont Christian church, the Rev. Paul Lee of Table Grove officiating. Burial will be in the Vermont cemetery.

Mr. Mercer was born near Vermont, May 3, 1876, to John V. and Sally Stafford Mercer. He was married Feb. 12, 1900 at Vermont to Harriet Cash, who died in 1938.

Surviving are three daughters, Misses Neva and Leska Mercer, and Mrs. Margaret Palmer, all of Vermont; two brothers, Willis Mercer of Sepulveda, Calif., and Ross Mercer of Spokane, Wash., and a sister, Mrs. Ada Morrison of Los Angeles.
