VERMONT — Mrs. Sallie R. Mercer, wife of John V. Mercer died at her home on North Main street, Wednesday morning, aged 72 years and 26 days. Rev. O. W. Rose conducted a short funeral service from the home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.

IPAVA — Mrs. George Marshall and Miss Ila Weese attended the funeral of Mrs. Marshall’s sister, Mrs. John Mercer, at Vermont Wednesday. She was the mother of Ross Mercer.
