Lois Lehman

Lois Lehman, 89, of Astoria died at 11:20 p.m. Feb. 19, 2007, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

She was born May 13, 1917, in Astoria, the daughter of Cline and Ethel Belle Harris Horton. She married Max N. Lehman on May 16, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He died Jan. 6, 1976.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Philip Horton.

Surviving are two sons, Michael (and Carol) of Lansing, Kan., and Terry (and Joyce) of Astoria; and three grandchildren.

She was a homemaker. She was a 1939 graduate of Knox College and taught school at Summum and Astoria Schools in the lower grades.

She was a member of a sorority at Knox College and the Astoria American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary. She was a den mother and scout enthusiast for Astoria Scout Troop Pack #105.

Private services were held with Rev. Gary Bass officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
