VeteranMax N. Lehman, Businessman Here, Dies Suddenly

Max N. Lehman, 60, a lifelong Astoria resident, died unexpectedly at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1976, at his home. Death was attributed to an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Lehman was born on Dec. 13, 1915, at Astoria, a son of Henry and Susan Schisler Lehman. He married Lois Horton on May 16, 1942, at Oklahoma City, Okla. She survives.

He had been owner and operator of the Astoria Sunshine Store for the past 30 years. He was a veteran of W.W.II and a member of the Astoria American Legion, Post 25. He was also a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

In addition to his widow, Mr. Lehman is survived by two sons, Michael of Springfield and Terry of Astoria.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Mike Hargrave officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
