GENEVA M. (BEEKMAN) LOCKARD

Geneva Lockard

Geneva M. Lockard, 91, of Havana died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.

She was born April 27, 1912, in Kerton Township, Fulton County, a daughter of John Lute and Laura Luella O'Donnell Beekman. She married Clifton Lockard on Nov. 15, 1933, in Astoria. He died April 16, 2000.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Wesley; two brothers, Willis and Bernard Beekman; and one sister, Maxine Bricker.

Surviving are four daughters, Wilma (and Hancil) Miller and Joyce (and Gary) Behymer, both of Lewistown, Norma (and Dean) Thompson of Dunlap and Bonnie (and George) Tompkins of Cuba; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandson.

She was a member of Summum Christian Church.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Ken Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Summum Cemetery.
