CLIFTON LOCKARD

Clifton Lockard

Clifton Lockard, 91, of Havana died at 12:05 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2000, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born March 14, 1909, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, a son of John and Lillie Mae Slaight Lockard. He married Geneva Beekman on Nov. 15, 1933, in Astoria. She survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Wilma (and Hancil) Miller and Joyce (and Gary) Behymer, both of Lewistown, Norma (and Dean) Thompson of Dunlap and Bonnie (and George) Tompkins of Cuba; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Myrtle Lockard of Astoria; and one brother, Ross of Ipava.

He was a farmer in Fulton County all his life.

He was a member of Summum Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by one son, Wesley Lockard; three brothers; and two sisters.

Services were held today at 11 a.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Brian Culver officiating. Burial was in Summum Cemetery.
