ERMA G. (MITCHELL) LOGSDON

Erma G. Logsdon Dies In Rushville

Mrs. Kline (Erma G.) Logsdon, 52, of Canton, Mo., died at 6:26 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 1976, at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville following a lengthy illness.

She was born Dec. 5, 1923, in McDonough County, a daughter of Loa and Hazel Derry Mitchell. She was married on July 30, 1944, in Ripley, to Kline Logsdon, who survives.

Also surviving are her mother, of Mt. Sterling; four sons, Michael of Jefferson City, Mo., Patrick of Canton, Mo., Steven, serving with the U.S. Navy, and Mark, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Judith Dubois of West Africa, Mrs. Karen Meyers of Atlanta, Ga., Kelly and Kimberly, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Kunkel and Mrs. Wanda Busen, both of Mt. Sterling, and Mrs. Betty Root of Collinsville; and four grandchildren.

Her father preceded her in death.

Mrs. Logsdon was a member of the Christian Church. Her husband is head Chef at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Barkley-Davis Funeral Chapel, Canton, Mo. with Rev. David Welsh officiating. Graveside services were held at 4:30 p.m. in the Ripley Cemetery at Ripley, Ill.

Mrs. Logsdon was a granddaughter of the late James “Jim” and Mabel Derry of Astoria. She had attended school in Astoria.
