Mary E. Kinne, 90, of Vermont died at 9:10 p.m. July 20, 2014, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.
She was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Industry, the daughter of Elsie L. and Elva D. Derry Vaughn. She married Wycliff “Ted” Kinne on Jan. 30, 1941, in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by four sons, Ronald, Donald, Phillip and Steven Kinne; and two brothers, Ray Vaughn and Earl Vaughn.
Surviving are two sons, Roger (and Norma) Kinne of Vermont and George Kinne of St. Cloud, Fla.; two daughters, Marcia Kinne of Vermont and Lisa Mincy of Beardstown; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She worked as a gas station attendant and also as a waitress.
She was a member of Vermont American Legion Post #26 Auxiliary and TOPS Club.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Dave Vandeman officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery.
