Phillip L. Kinne, 49, of Vermont, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997 at 10 a.m. at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb.
He was born Sept. 11, 1948 in Macomb, a son of Ted and Mary Vaughn Kinne.
He married Linda Marie Shoemaker on May 4, 1968 in Vermont. She survives. Also surviving are his parents of Vermont; three sons, Steve Kinne of Macomb, Byron Kinne and B. J. Kinne, both of Vermont; three brothers, Steve Kinne and Roger Kinne, both of Vermont, and George Kinne of St. Cloud, Fla.; two sisters, Marcia Kinne of Vermont and Lisa Mincy of Beardstown; and five grandchildren.
He was a correctional officer at the Illinois River Correctional Center in Canton.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Vermont Christian Church with Rev. Carl Kingery officiating. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont.
