Wycliff Kinne

Wycliff T. "Ted" Kinne, 83, of Vermont died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, at Astoria Manor in Astoria.

He was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Table Grove, a son of James L. and Victoria Bard Kinne. He married Mary Elizabeth Vaughn on Jan. 30, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Roger of Vermont and George of St. Cloud, Fla; two daughters, Marcia Kinne of Vermont and Lisa Mincy of Beardstown; one brother, William of Rockford; one sister, Bertha (and Tiny) Gough of West Virginia; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sons, nine sisters and four brothers.

He helped build and tear down Camp Ellis. He also had worked for Ken-Ray Brass Foundry for several years and for Bader & Co., both in Vermont.

Services were held Tuesday at Kost Memorial Home with Rev. Carl Kingery officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
