VeteranThomas Hamblin

Thomas T. Hamblin, 67, of Havana died at 10:14 a.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born Jan. 16, 1933, in Mason County, a son of Theodore and Rhoda Jockisch Hamblin. He married Jessie Hart on Nov. 9, 1961, in Havana. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Chuck (and Valerie) Carrier of Havana; one daughter, Cindy Hamblin of Havana; three sisters, Bettie (and Ollie) Krobe of Beardstown and Rosemary (and James) Shirley and Linda (and Jack) Danner, both of Astoria; and one grandchild.

Three brothers preceded him in death.

A Korean War Army veteran, he was a former member of Havana Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6408.

He was an inspector at Caterpillar Inc. before retiring.

Services were held Friday at Hurley Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery in Woodland Township, Fulton County.
