She was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Summum, a daughter of Jesse and Mildred Shelly Hart. She married Charles V. Carrier on July 12, 1957. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1961. She later married Thomas T. Hamblin on Nov. 10, 1961. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2000.
Surviving are two children, Chuck Carrier of Kilbourne and Cindy Hamblin of Havana; one sister, Ellie Genseal of Greenview; one granddaughter, Dana (and Michael) Martin of Klamath Falls, Ore.; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Havana 1st United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and worked for Franklin Life in the 1950s and later worked at Horace Mann.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
