She was born Jan. 19, 1936, in Salt Creek, a daughter of Theodore and Rhonda Jockisch Hamblin. She married Jack Danner on Feb. 6, 1953, in Astoria. He preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2017.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Vickie Spires; four brothers, Richard, Thomas, David and Gerald Hamblin; and two sisters, Rosemary Shirley and Betty Krohe.
Surviving are three daughters, Debra Bailey and Anita (and Steve) Burgett, both of Havana, and Patty Kolves of Astoria; three grandchildren; and five step grandchildren.
She was a telephone operator in Astoria. She also was a cook at Jeanie’s Kountry Kitchen in Astoria, Fireside Lanes Bowling Alley in Lewistown, Arrowhead Café at Arrowhead Junction and Hamblin’s in Summum.
She, along with her husband Jack, raised and sold German Shepherds for 43 years. She attended Astoria Christian Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service was held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Gary Sheets and Pastor Matthew Thiner officiating.
