Kenneth Howard Dies In Hospital

Kenneth L. Howard, 75, of 819 N. Broadway, Lewistown, died at 9:07 a.m. Sunday, April 15, 1990, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Sept. 4, 1914, in Summum, a son of Don and Grace Waggoner Howard. He married Willadene Braden on Nov. 16, 1935, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Kent Howard of Greenwood, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Cynthia Neeley of Pacifica, Calif.; two sisters, Miss Pauline Howard of Canton and Mrs. Wanda Lee Poppenhager of Lewistown; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He worked as a car salesman for a Chevrolet dealership, and later for 26 years at Lock’s Ford Town in Canton before retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Canton Country Club and for many years, the Ford 500 Club, a sales honor organization.

He also was a member of the Lewistown United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. this morning at his church with Rev. Mark Kaley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Henry Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to his church or to the Lewistown Park District.
