MARSHALL D. “PETE” HOWARD

Marshall Howard Of Astoria Dies

Marshall D. “Pete” Howard, 71, of Astoria, died at 1:34 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 1987, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born March 7, 1916, in Woodland Township, a son of Don and Grace Waggoner Howard. He married Geneva Little on March 23, 1954, at Leroy. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Randy Howard of Peoria; one stepson, Larry Little of Dwight; two grandchildren; one step-grandson; his mother, Mrs. Grace Howard of Canton; two sisters, Pauline Howard of Canton and Wanda Lee Poppenhager of Lewistown; and one brother, Kenneth Howard of Lewistown.

Graveside services were held Tuesday morning at the Summum Cemetery with Father Robert W. O’Connor officiating. Full military services were conducted by Astoria American Legion Post No. 25.

Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of services.
