Mrs. Grace Mae Hopping, 83, of Bardolph, died at 6:45 p.m., Monday, Jan. 21, 1985, at the Prairie City Nursing Home.
She was born April 8, 1901, near Astoria, a daughter of William and Gertrude Curless Dutton. She married Ernest W. Hopping July 6, 1918, at Lewistown. He died April 1, 1971.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Emma Root of Alvarado, Tex., Mrs. Opal Stambaugh of Summum and Melba Davis of Bardolph; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great, great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dollie Derry of Astoria and Mary Lawver of Moline; and two brothers, John Dutton of Browning and Harry Dutton of Vermont.
She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister.
She was a member of the Astoria Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery north of Astoria.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening. The family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
