Myrtle Greuel Dies At Age 92

Myrtle M. Greuel, 92, of Macomb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Industry, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 1990 at McDonough District Hospital.

She was born Nov. 2, 1898 in Astoria, a daughter of Abe and Louise (Gardner) Etter. She married Edward Greuel Dec. 20, 1939. He died July 1, 1970.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two stepsons, Lloyd and Wayne and one brother, Ralph.

Surviving are one stepdaughter, Lucille Markley of Industry; two sisters, Goldie Brown and Lois Price, both of Astoria; six step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and several nephews and a niece.

Mrs. Greuel lived in the Astoria and Industry area most of her life. She was a member of the Astoria Church of the Brethren and taught school for 25 years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Marshall Litchfield officiating. Burial was in Industry Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Macomb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
