Ralph G. Etter Dies In Hospital

Ralph G. Etter, 83, of rural London Mills, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 1988, at the Graham Hospital Extended Care Unit.

He was born Aug. 19, 1904, at Summum, the son of Abraham and Louise (Gardner) Etter. He married Beulah Raby in June, 1927, at Canton. She died Sept. 23, 1959.

Survivors include three sons, Stanley, of rural Chatsworth, Staley, of rural Lewistown, and Marc, of Fairfield, Calif.; and three sisters, Myrtle Greuel, of Macomb, Goldie Brown and Lois Price, both of Astoria.

He worked the coal mines of the Fairview area for many years prior to retirement. He was a member of the Fairview Lodge AF&AM 350, the Peoria Consistory, and was former District Deputy Grand Master.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Root Funeral Home, Fairview with Rev. Kevin Kleinheksel officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.

Masonic services were held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
