Goldie E. Brown, 96, of Astoria died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.Goldie E. Brown, 96, of Astoria died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born Dec. 30, 1908, in Astoria Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Abraham H. and Louise Gardner Etter. She married Russell Brown on Aug. 9, 1933, in Astoria. He died Feb. 19, 1991.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Etter; and two sisters, Myrtle Greuel and Lois Price.
Surviving are nephews and nieces.
She sang in the gospel group The Kingdom Builders Quartet for many years.
She was a member of Astoria Christian Church.
Services were Friday at her church with Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in South Fulton Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
