Sidney W. Elliott, 81, of 709 N. Union died at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 1995, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born Feb. 28, 1913, in Canton, a son of Martin and Blanche McCord Elliott. He married Florence Audrey Harris on March 25, 1939, in Chicago. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Dennis M. of Carpentersville, Daniel P. of Collinsville and John D. of Chicago; two daughters, Nancy E. Thomas and Sharon M. Dodd, both of Vermont; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
One son, Kenneth, nine brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
He retired from Ken-Ray Foundry.
Funeral services wre held Monday at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Richard Pricco officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Vermont Rescue Squad.
