Ernest Elliott, 90, Of Summum Dies

Ernest Eldon Elliott, 90, of Summum, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, in a Peoria hospital. He had been in poor health for several months. Mr. Elliott operated a general store in Summum for a number of years.

Funeral services for Mr. Elliiott were held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with the Rev. David Flood officiating. Burial was in the Summum cemetery.

He was born in Summum Aug. 25, 1874, a son of Elisha and Sigourney Hickle Elliott. He married Edith Hackman in 1911. She is deceased.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Bidle of Summum, and a sister, Mrs. Iva Welch of Ellisville.

One son, two sisters, and three brothers died previously.
