Elisha Elliott Summum Resident Died Thursday

Elisha Elliott, son of Luke and Evelina (Burgess) Elliott, was born near Summum, Ill., March 3, 1848. Departed this life July 28, 1927 at 9:15 a.m., being 79 years, 4 months and 25 days of age.

He united with the Missionary Baptist church when he was 18 years old, thus as a young man he dedicated his life to Christ.

He united in marriage with Sigourney Hickle, Dec. 29, 1870. To this union were born seven children, three girls and four boys, all of which survive him except one girl, Cora Etta, who passed away in infancy.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his life companion, Mrs. Sigourney Elliott and four sons: Elmer E. Elliott of Summum, Earnest E. Elliott of Summum, Lucius L. Elliott, of Lewistown, Idaho, and Don Earl Elliott of Canton, Ill. Also two daughters, Iva Elsie Welch of Havana, Ill., and Mary Pearl Wright of Macomb, Ill. Also one brother, M. F. Elliott of Independence, Kansas, and one sister, Mrs. Amanda Onion of Astoria, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at Summum Christian church, Saturday at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. T. Nichols. Interment in Summum cemetery.
