Ellen M. Day, 83, of Macomb died at 6:15 p.m. July 5, 2007, at the Heartland Healthcare Center in Macomb.
She was born Aug. 10, 1923, in Ray, a daughter of John C. and A. Ruth Lear Stambaugh. She married E. Luther Day on May 17, 1947, in Rock Island. He died May 11, 2001.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Annis Phelps and Lucretia Stambaugh; one half brother, Clyde Belville; and one brother in infancy.
Surviving are one son, Ronald (and Becky) of Augusta; one daughter, Almyra Lou (and Dennis) Carey of Macon, Mo.; one brother, John Henry Stambaugh of St. Augustine; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two step-great-grandchildren.
She worked as a concession vendor for over 50 years on the CIC Field Trial circuit.
Services were held Monday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. Lee Day officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.
