Annis W. Phelps, 71, of Astoria, died at 11:40 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 1993, at Astoria Healthcare Center.
She was born Dec. 2, 1921, in Ray, a daughter of John C. and Ruth A. Lear Stambaugh. She married William Grail in 1940 in Macomb. She later married Clem Phelps in 1954 in Rock Island.
Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Rangel of Moline and Candy Seymour of Rock Island; four sons, John Grail and Michael Phelps, both of Fort. Myers, Fla., Rocke Phelps of Burlington, Iowa, and Mark Phelps of Astoria; two sisters, Ellen Day of Macomb and Lucretia Stambaugh of Astoria; one brother, John Stambaugh of St. Augustine; 17 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
One daughter, one son and two brothers preceded her in death.
She worked at Best Ever Cafe.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Kevin Sager officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at the memorial home. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery.
