Verne H. Danner Dies At Age 87Verne H. Danner Dies At Age 87Verne H. Danner, 87, of Adair, died at 5:03 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 1981, in McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
Born July 7, 1894 in Bader, he was a son of Samuel and Emma (Sweigard) Danner. He married Mary English Feb. 15, 1921 in Astoria. She died May 10, 1974.
Surviving are one son, Kermit of Adair; two grandchildren; one brother, Herschel of Blandinsville and one sister, Naomi Miller of Canton.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Roxy Danner and Mrs. Myrtle Brown.
A retired farmer, he was a member of Macomb American Legion Post 6 and was an Army veteran of World War I.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Kost Memorial Home, Vermont, with Rev. Keith Zimmerman officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
