Kermit DannerKermit E. Danner, 84, of Macomb, formerly of Adair, died at 4:30 a.m. March 15, 2014, at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg.

He was born May 28, 1929, in Macomb, the son of Verne H. and Mary English Danner. He married Norma Pennington on April 2, 1950, in Adair. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Kevin (and Karen) Danner and Stan (and Elaine) Danner, both of Table Grove; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He graduated from Adair High School. He enlisted in the Navy in October of 1951 and served four years aboard the USS Curtiss. He and his sons had a farming operation until December of 2000.

He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Macomb, Macomb Elks Lodge #1009, Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Reverend Dr. Howard White officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Pennington Point Cemetery west of Adair with full military rites being conducted by Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorials may be made to his church or Macomb American Legion.
