Aged Astoria Woman Dies

Mrs. Samuel B. Danner died early Monday morning at her home on East Broadway after a brief illness. She was aged 77 years, 11 months, and 26 days.

Emma Danner was born in Dauphin County, Pa., April 5th, 1868, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Balsbaugh Sweigard. She came to Illinois with her parents when she was about ten years of age.

She was united in marriage to Samuel B. Danner Sept. 29, 1891. Surviving besides the husband are the following children: Miss Roxy Danner, at home, Verne Danner of Adair, Herschel Danner of Blandinsville, Mrs. Myrtle Brown, Rushville, and Mrs. Naomi Miller of Canton; also seven grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Mary Myers of Coleta, Ill., Mrs. Cora Dohner and Mrs. Lettie Johnson of Adair.

Mrs. Danner was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Astoria Church of the Brethren, conducted by Rev. Harold Miller of Chicago, assisted by Rev. G. G. Canfield, the pastor. The body was placed in the Astoria Memorial Mausoleum.
