Mrs. Cora Dohner Dies In Rushville

Mrs. Cora May Dohner, 87, of Adair died at 4:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, in Culbertson Hospital, Rushville.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. In the Clugston Chapel in Macomb. The Rev. Arnold Naff of Astoria officiated with burial in Astoria Cemetery.

She was born March 21, 1882, in Astoria to Joseph and Mary Balsbaugh Sweigard.

She had been a resident of the Ipava and Adair area most of her life and for the past five years had resided in the Snyder Nursing Home in Rushville.

She married Simon R. Dohner on Sept. 6, 1903. He died Oct. 22, 1945.

She was a member of the Adair Methodist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mary L. Moats of Industry; one sister, Mrs. Lottie Johnson of Astoria; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Frances Maxine, three brothers, Harry, Samuel and Andrew in infancy, and four sisters, Mrs. Kate Bowman, Mrs. Mary Meyers, Mrs. Emma Danner and Elizabeth in infancy.
