Little Girl Dies

Frances, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Dohner who resides southeast of Bardolph, died Wednesday evening at 9:30 o’clock at the Phelps hospital in Macomb, following a very severe illness of nearly three weeks duration, caused by an infection near the eye. The little one was operated on several times by specialists for the removal of puss, which collected there, with a hope that she might recover, but it only gave temporary relief and she passed away as above stated, after many days of terrible suffering.

Frances Maxine Dohner was born near Ipava, Ill., March 19, 1914 being at her death which occurred May 12, 1920, 6 years, 1 month and 23 days of age. Besides her parents she leaves one sister and a host of relatives and friends who are heart broken over the loss of little Frances.

Funeral services were held Sunday morning at eleven a.m., at the Church of the Brethren in Astoria conducted by Eld. Charles Walters assisted by Eld. S. S. Blough and the body was laid to rest in the Astoria cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
