GHLEE J. CALHOUN

Ghlee J. Calhoun, 81, of Macomb, formerly of Ipava and Adair, died at 11:40 p.m. June 24, 2010, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Marietta, a son of Fred and Dora E. Phelps Calhoun. He married Bette Gale on March 31, 1951, in Salem, Ark. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Randy Calhoun of Macomb; one daughter, Rhonda (and Mike) Calhoun of Macomb; and one sister, Myrtle Foulk of Birchtree, Mo.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lyle and Harry Calhoun; and two sisters, Lilly Hitchcock and Clara Batts.

He was a veteran serving in the Army during the Korean War.

He lived in Adair for 20 years before moving to the farm near Ipava. He moved to Macomb in October of 2009.

He worked in sales and farmed all of his life.

He was a member of Table Grove American Legion.

Private graveside services were held at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb with Reverend A. Lee Unger officiating. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
