Bette R. Calhoun, 78, of Macomb died at 6:41 a.m. Aug. 5, 2013, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born on June 4, 1935, in Astoria, the daughter of Mylo and Wanda Prather Gale. She married Ghlee Calhoun on March 31, 1951, in Salem, Ark. He passed away on June 24, 2010.
Surviving are one son, Randy Calhoun of Macomb; one daughter, Rhonda (and Mike) Calhoun Hollenback; and one brother, Wilmer (and Linda) Gale of Astoria.
She lived in Adair for 20 years before moving to the farm near Ipava before moving to Macomb in October of 2009.
She was a homemaker and had a quilt shop for a few years.
Private graveside services were held at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
