Wanda L. Gale, 85, of Astoria, died at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Astoria Healthcare Center.
She was born Sept. 9, 1913, in Astoria, a daughter of Orley and Mary Serff Prather. She married Mylo Gale on Sept. 9, 1929, in Keokuk, Iowa. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ghlee (Bette) Calhoun of Ipava; one son, Wilmer of Astoria; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
An employee of Poole Produce for ten years, for more than 25 years she was a waitress at various Astoria restaurants.
She was a member of the former Evangelical United Brethren Church in Astoria.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Astoria Cemetery with Rev. Clifford Parry officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
