Dale Chenoweth

Dale Elmer Chenoweth, 63, of Table Grove died at 9:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at his residence.

He was born July 7, 1937, in Fulton County, a son of Orel Kenneth "Peck" and Wilma Lee Barker Chenoweth. He married Nancy Wilhelm on Sept. 22, 1956, in Industry. She died in 1969. He married Connie Kendrick on April 19, 1970, in Table Grove. She died in 1998.

His father also preceded him in death.

Surviving are his mother of Macomb; his fiancee, Janet Bohm Lafary of Smithshire; three daughters, Kathrine Reynolds of Table Grove, Teresa (and Orion) Westfall of Lake Elizabeth, Calif., and Michelle (and Jason) Younce of St. Louis; three sons, Kenneth of Decatur, Kevin (and Kay) of Table Grove and Shannon (and Shelly) of Adair; two sisters, Louise (and Donald) Young of Clarksville, Ark., and Ruth (and Carl) Danner of Clarksdale, Miss.; one brother, Donald (and Marilyn) of Table Grove; and eight grandchildren.

He and his sons farmed in the rural Table Grove area.

He was a member of the Farmers Township Board for many years. He also was a member and former president of the Mid Century Telephone Co-op.

He was serving on the board of the Fulton County Farm Service Agency.

He was past president of the VIT Athletic Boosters Club. He also was a volunteer for several community activities and organizations.

Services were held Saturday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. Phil Schumm officiating. Burial was in Harris Cemetery in Table Grove.

Memorials may be made to Table Grove Rescue Squad, McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program or the American Diabetes Association.
