Ruth Ellen Danner, 75, died at 3 a.m. April 1, 2015, at the home of her daughter Carla Mills, near Clarksdale, Miss. She was born March 22, 1940, in Table Grove, a daughter of Wilma Barker Chenoweth and Orel “Peck” Chenoweth. She married Carl E. Danner on Sept. 18, 1959, in Lewistown. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Dale Chenoweth; and one sister, Louise Chenoweth Young.
Surviving are her children, Vincent (and Luz) Danner of Stanwood, Wash., Renee (and Said) El Abbar of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., and Carla Mills of Bobo, Miss.; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Barlow of Washington, Ill., and Marilyn Chenoweth of Table Grove; and six grandchildren.
She graduated from VIT High School in 1958 and Brown’s Business College in Peoria.
She was a skilled seamstress.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Brock United Methodist Church in Smithfield. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, Miss., is in charge of arrangements.
