Donald Chenoweth

Donald E. Chenoweth, 77, of Table Grove died at 11:45 a.m. May 8, 2009, at his home.

He was born Jan. 17, 1932, in Farmers Township, Fulton County, a son of Orel K. “Peck” and Wilma Lee Barker Chenoweth. He married Marilyn Leonard on Jan. 1, 1952, in Ipava. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Daniel (and Tana) Chenoweth and Dennis (and Jo Ann) Chenoweth, both of Table Grove and Doug (and Becky) Chenoweth of Lewistown; one daughter, Bea LeMaster of Table Grove; two sisters, Louise Young of Texas and Ruth (and Carl) Danner of Mississippi; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Chenoweth.

He was a lifelong farmer.

He was a member of Fulton County Farm Bureau; lifetime member of National Rifle Association; Smithfield Sportsmen’s Club; Harris Township Supervisor; and Table Grove Fireman and trustee for many years.

Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Rick Weiss officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
