Edna Louise Young, 76, of Waller, Texas, died at 1:30 p.m. June 2, 2009, at Grace Care Center of Cypress in Houston.
She was born April 9, 1933, in Parmer Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Orel “Peck” and Wilma Barker Chenoweth. She married Donald Young on June 12, 1954, in Table Grove. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2002.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Rita Bohanan; and two brothers, Dale and Don Chenoweth.
Surviving are one sister, Ruth (and Carl) Danner of Sardis, Miss.; one daughter, Anita (and David) Horger of Waller; two sons, Darrell Young of Newcastle, Wyo., and William (and Jeanette) Young of Macon, Miss.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a cook at Bob’s Dairy Dipper and Astoria Care Center for several years.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Vermont Cemetery. Kost Memorial Home in Vermont is in charge of arrangements.
