Donald Young

Donald W. Young, 69, of Clarksville, Ark., formerly of Vermont died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at his home.

He was born Jan. 11, 1933, in Vermont, a son of Wayne and Dora Darling Young. He married Louise Chenoweth on June 12, 1954. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Anita Horger of Waller, Texas; two sons, Darrel of Wright, Wyo., and William of Macon, Mo.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jim of Marble Hill, Mo.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

He was a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.

He worked in mine construction.

Graveside services were held Monday with Rev. Tim Gilliland officiating. Military rites were accorded by the Astoria American Legion post. Kost Memorial Home in Vermont was in charge of arrangements.
