CECIL R. CABLE

Cecil Cable

Cecil R. Cable, 95, of rural Browning, died at 9:50 p.m. Monday, June 17, 1996, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

He was born Dec. 27, 1900, in Sawyer, Kan., a son of Isaac and Etta Metzger Cable. He married Ruth S. Miller on Nov. 25, 1920 at Bader. She preceded him in death on Dec. 24, 1987. He was also preceded in death by one son, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gail (Erma) Geiman of rural Browning; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three brothers, Lester Cable of Clio, Mich., Ralph Cable of Delphi, Ind., and Paul Cable of Camden, Ind.; and two sisters, Emma Allen of Burton, Mich. and Anna Bell Cable of Camden, Ind.

He was a member of Mud Valley Church. He was a retired farmer and carpenter.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Mud Valley Church with Elder Orvel Gish and Elder Arthur Cook officiating. Burial will be in the Mud Valley Cemetery.

There will be no formal visitation, however friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.

Memorials may be made to the Mud Valley Church.
